What do you think about the scoring system? What changes would you make?

i think it needs to be changed. because the system is ok if its a fight like jardine vs liddell where it stays standing. but if you have a fight mainly on the ground the scoring should be changed when they start on the ground. then each judge has two cards each one for stand up the other for the ground and a winner is picked. well thats what i think

Until I see a better system, I think it is fine. If you had a stand up card and a grappling card how would you know which was more important. Say you had a guy that won the stand up but lost the ground. Would that mean a draw? I agree that it could be scored better, but over all the decisions have not been that bad. Usually the guy that should have won wins. That's really all that matters. I like how Pride scored fights.

They added attempt to finish the fight in the criteria and jugded the fight as a whole. Nog vs that fat guy that used to be champ of the UFC :) is a good example of attempt to finish. fat guy controlled top possition on nog most the time but stalled. Nog constently tried to end the fight with submissions. under ufc rules fat guy would have won. under pride rules nog won.

fat guy this is not a personal attack against you. i can not remember your name there for i am describing you as best i can.
