Kinds of Sponsors
Finding a good sponsor can be very hard. When MMA first started getting popular, sponsors came running. With the added popularity of the sport, the number of fighters needing sponsors have increased dramatically. Now that the rush of sudden popularity has worn off, sponsors have became more selective with their support. This has resulted in high sponsorship bucks for guys at the top of MMA ladder and lower sponsorship for the guys coming up. Most sponsors are looking for fighters that are going to be on PPV or television in a relatively short period of time. This is the number one factor with most of the major sponsors.

There are sponsors that look for fighters coming up! These sponsors usually want to sponsor fighters that are in medium level shows and are willing to accept merchandise as support. Companies that sponsor in this way are looking to sponsor many fighters with minimal expense. Sponsorship bucks many be given along with merchandise.

Area sponsors are yet another type of sponsor. Occasionally, a sponsor will come to us looking to sponsor in a particular state or area. These are usually business owners and MMA fans that would like to show support for fighters in their area. Sponsorship from these guys vary and is usually limited to one show.

Sponsorship can get very complex. Is a general theme you see among Sponsors.

Understand completely I will ask around. We have some new shirts being printed and some other stuff being made maybe we could get you to do something for us.

Man, I would hate to touch that one. I wouldn't want to cost you a sponsor. Some companies seem like they wait until the last possible minute to make a deal. I think that has to do with people pulling out of fights and events being canceled.
