I just about to start out but don't what gear I need. What are some items that I should own for when I start training.

ill start with the head and work down.
mouthguard is a MUST have when starting any contact sport.
gloves either mma gloves on boxing see what people in class have.
groin guard another MUST have (need i explain why??)
shin and instep pads are good to.
other gear not need right away.
headguard
handwraps
