I'll be Ms. Obvious here and say first and foremost, drop the cokes, even diet cokes. Secondly, cut your carbs. The more weight you want to lose, the more carbs you cut out. You can cut a lot of weight really quick this way; especially if you combine it with cardio and weight training. To maintain energy when cutting carbs, consider taking an herbal energizer. I use Stacker 3. If you haven't ever tried these though, you may want to start out with Stacker 2. I take them, wait about 15 minutes and then eat a small meal. They do make me a little jittery, but energized for several hours. If you are caffeine sensitive, you can try just drinking some sugar-free cappuccino or coffee. It might do the trick.

When you completely cut the carbs, this weight loss is only temporary. For more permanent results, eat some carbs before noon; such as a piece of fruit or a couple pieces of lite bread. Maybe even a few carbs at lunch, but the closer it gets to bedtime, the fewer carbs you should consume. Combine this with a regimen of cardio and weight training and the pounds will come off at a steady rate.

i'm my opinion, being involved in professional MMA shows from the fighters side heres........

how to cut weight...

ok say you weigh 185 and have to fight a 170lb fight, how do you do it?

2 weeks before weigh ins, drinks TONS, and i mean TONS of water everyday, get your body very used to retaining/losing water weight, this will also help in curbing your appitite to shed some fat pounds....then, 24hrs before weigh ins stop drinking/eating altogether. now you start the shedding phase. you should pee out ALOT of the extra pounds you need to cut, anywhere from 2-5 houtrs before the weigh ins this is when you have to judge how much sauna time you need in to sweat the excess weight away.

first off i say ALWAYS be within 15lbs of your fighting weight, unless you are a VERY experienced "cutter" and can manage more.

there are lots of tricks as well, if you come to weigh ins and are 1-1.5lbs over....dont panic....your stance on the scale can make a differnce. and if not generally in your contract you will be allotted extra time, generally 2-4hours to make weight.

hope that helps..
